Characters Platinum End 2021

Main Platinum End 2021

Mirai Kakehashi (架橋 明日Kakehashi Mirai)
He was raised by his abusive uncle and aunt after his family was killed in a car crash. The abuse he endured resulted in him trying to commit suicide by throwing himself from a tower block, but he is saved by Nasse. Using the arrows he discovers that his uncle and aunt murdered his family, he accidentally kills his aunt and then makes his uncle turn himself in. Upon learning of Metropoliman’s plans, Mirai joins forces with Saki and Nanato to stop him, not only to protect themselves but to prevent him from becoming God as well. Platinum End 2021
Nasse (ナッセ)
Mirai’s angel. All angels bestow special abilities on their hosts and based on their rank, the abilities they bestow vary. Nasse is a special-rank angel, granting Mirai all three angel abilities including wings which grants Mirai the ability to fly, a white arrow that allows the user to instantly kill anyone it hits, and a red arrow that allows the user to make whoever it hits fall in love with them for 33 days, though not if the target is already under the influence of another user’s red arrow. Her main desire is to make Mirai happy. Despite having a cute face, she has the habit of making some cruel remarks. Platinum End 2021
Saki Hanakago (花籠 咲Hanakago Saki)
Saki is Mirai’s classmate, his love interest, and coincidentally, a God candidate as well. Once she learns that he does not intend to kill her, Saki teams up with Mirai to deal with Metropolitan. Saki and Mirai were once childhood friends, but after his parents’ death, Mirai became the target of bullying from his classmates and Saki did nothing to stop them out of peer pressure. She witnessed Mirai’s suicide attempt in the beginning of the series, and out of guilt, she also did so by trying to drown herself on the sea, leading her to meet Revel and become a God candidate. Platinum End 2021
Revel (ルベルRuberu)
Saki’s angel. He is rather calculating and manipulative, a trait that is considered by Nasse to be the reason why he was relegated to be a second-rank angel, thus capable only of bestowing Saki with the red arrow. Once he decides to become more useful to Saki, Revel decides to study the knowledge of the heavens, in order to increase his rank and grant wings to Saki, but fails. However, when Revel sheds tears at not being of further use to Saki, God promotes him to first-rank and bestows him the title of “Angel of Emotion”, as no angel had shed tears for a human before. This rank raise grants him the ability to bestow wings onto Saki. Platinum End 2021

Ok, dude. Look. I haven’t read the manga tip to bottom but have heard the news about how the ending went but I’ll still be making this review based on the first 4 episodes of the anime. Plus this is the first review I am ever making. Would be really happy if you just gave it a read. Thank you. Platinum End 2021

[Spoiler Warning ig?]

You start watching Platinum end and you’ll immediately start comparing it to Mirai Nikki because of the parallelisms they have. But FOR NOW, Platinum end looks like a better planned off, easy going Mirai Nikki. Mirai Nikki too had a good start but only to end with complete madness and bull f**kery. Platinum End 2021

It was a TRAINWRECK. I don’t want a Platinum end to be like that now. I’ve heard good things and also BAD things. Good thing is that platinum end at least remains sane and good for most of its manga running duration…that is…until the last chapters dropped. Platinum End 2021

I’ve got some spoilers and it seems people are mad somehow about how the manga ended so abruptly. Now man….even me as an anime-only now feels bad even though I wasn’t even invested in these characters so much. Cuz the ending basically killed everything(literally). So whatever the chance I had to get invested in the characters is now no more.

IDK how this anime is to gain the audience of the anime community now. People are just flocking here to see this just because this was written by the original duo that had made Death Note and Bakuman. Platinum End 2021

Speaking of the ‘Great duo’ (Tsugumi Ohba & Takeshi Obata) and why the reason I wasn’t interested in the cast in the first place. Let me explain. You see whenever most fans see the name Ohba and Obata attached to a work they are like;-” Ohhhhh, so it’s those guys’ work huh! The ones who did the Death note! Great great, Let me watch/read this as well.

Might turn out good!” So yes the expectations were high af for me and as well as the new viewers. But it was a big fat disappointment. But this doesn’t subjectively mean this is a bad show! Don’t get me wrong! It’s still pretty good and worth a shot. I’m saying this to all those anime onlies who got the ending spoiled by the manga readers and lost their interest. Platinum End 2021

In any case, now thing is, this anime fails what the other 2 prior works of the duo had done. Capturing the audience with their characters. Bakuman had done that for me and I’m sure Death Note had done that for everyone at that time. Platinum end’s starting lacks the oomph that DN had. And a lot of things feel out of place here. Platinum End 2021

Hell, the main character and his love interest look like generic romcom characters and they behave like them. Come on man even the angels have a more interesting personality than their candidates. The ‘battle of wits’ thingy isn’t here for now. I wish it will arrive(hopium)…Man…i miss light and L.

The art in the anime is good but I have to say from the manga panels that they did a good job adapting except the fact that they changed the mc’s hair color. Blue I think is a lot common nowadays. Redhead mc is in fact in decline now. What’s the reason? And his red hairs would go along with the color matching of his red arrow. Platinum End 2021

Would’ve been cool if they kept it as the manga was. But still, the art is okay-ish.
[Completely ignores the horrible Metropoliman CGI.] And wtf is a metropolitan doing here? It feels so out of place. Mech suits wtf? Last time I checked there was no mecha genre on it man.The music is pretty good. Loved the opening. It slaps hard. The outro is okay. Platinum End 2021Overall Rating Platinum End 2021:7

Whatever my rating can change based on how the remaining episodes go. I haven’t learned anything about the good candidates yet. Here’s some hope that they have somewhat of a more interesting personality than our dear mc. Thank you if you made reading this far. Cant think someone would read my cringe of a review lol.

(First Review! Don’t be harsh)
**SPOILERS FOR THE FIRST 4 EPISODES**Platinum End is an anime that was created by the same people behind Death Note. So far Platinum End does not meet my expectations but that doesn’t mean it is bad, it’s actually quite good.

The premise of the show is quite simple, there are 13 god contestants that have an angel that follows them (similar to shinigami from DN) and they all get granted special powers from these angels such as a pair of angel wings that grant flight, a red arrow that makes someone fall in love with you and a white arrow that will 100% of the time kill the target. Platinum End 2021

This anime so far is quite interesting and since it was by the same people who created Death Note, it’s very similar when it shouldn’t be. The MC is a “love-blind Light Yagami” and the L in this series is Metropolitan. I feel like the whole mecha part of the show wasn’t needed and the CGI for the mecha suits isn’t the greatest. Platinum End 2021

Instead of writing too much for only 4 episodes of content, I’ll end it short, Platinum End is an enjoyable anime so far that has the potential to be something great. Platinum End 2021

Plot Platinum End 2021

Mirai Kakehashi is a young orphaned high school student who lives with his abusive aunt and uncle after the death of his parents.

One day, Mirai decides he cannot take it anymore and attempts suicide but is saved by a Guardian Angel called Nasse, who also gives Mirai special powers. Upon learning from Nasse that his aunt and uncle were responsible for the deaths of his father and mother, Mirai uses the powers that she bestowed to him in order to enact justice upon them.

This is only the beginning of Mirai’s story, however, as Nasse soon after informs him that God will retire in 999 days and thirteen candidates to replace him were selected, one of which is Mirai. To make matters worse, not only is Mirai forced to take part in the contest to decide the next God, but some of the other candidates will do anything to win, including killing all of the other candidates as soon as possible.

To combat these ruthless killers, Mirai forms an alliance with several candidates who share his goal: to win the contest without killing any other competitors.
