Pokémon Evolutions (ポケモンエボリューションズ, Pokémon Eboryūshonzu) is a 2021 Japanese animated original net animation series releasing on YouTube and Pokémon TV by The Pokémon Company.
Pokémon Evolutions is a series of 8 episodes to be released in celebration of the 25th anniversary of Pokémon and is inspired by all 8 regions of the Pokémon world. The series was first announced on September 2, 2021. Each episode is dedicated to each core series region in reverse order by introduction. The first episode was released on September 9, 2021, with episodes to be released on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
Evolution (進化 Shinka) is the first evolution in the Pokémon franchise when one Pokémon, upon reaching a certain level, using certain stones, learning certain moves, or being traded, evolves into a different kind of Pokémon. In Pokémon Gold, Silver, Crystal, HeartGold, and SoulSilver games, it is stated that Professor Elm is an expert on evolution, and discovered that Pikachu evolves from Pichu.
In the anime, during evolution, a Pokémon will become surrounded by light and slowly change shape. From The Beginning through to Diamond and Pearl, the Pokémon is surrounded by a white light, while in Black & White to Pokémon Journeys, the Pokémon is surrounded by a golden or blue light. Evolution can also occur through multiple Pokémon of the same species combining.
To some Pokémon, evolution means growing up, while to others, it just refers becoming another species or getting upgraded. However, many of them retain the memories of their life during their pre-evolution form.
The Pokémon world has a wide variety of regions filled with interesting people and wonderful Pokémon. Pokémon Synopsis:
Pokemon are peculiar creatures with a vast array of different abilities and appearances; many people, known as Pokemon trainers, capture and train them, often with the intent of battling others. Young Satoshi has not only dreamed of becoming a Pokemon trainer but also a “Pokemon Master,” and on the arrival of his 10th birthday, he finally has a chance to make that dream a reality.
Unfortunately for him, all three Pokemon available to beginning trainers have already been claimed and only Pikachu, a rebellious Electric-type Pokemon, remains. However, this chance encounter would mark the start of a lifelong friendship and an epic adventure!
Setting off on a journey to become the very best, Satoshi and Pikachu travel across beautiful, sprawling regions with their friends Kasumi, a Water-type trainer, and Takeshi, a Rock-type trainer.
But danger lurks around every corner. The infamous Team Rocket is always nearby, seeking to steal powerful Pokemon through nefarious schemes. It’ll be up to Satoshi and his friends to thwart their efforts as he also strives to earn the eight Pokemon Gym Badges he’ll need to challenge the Pokemon League, and eventually claim the title of Pokemon Master.

In Electric Shock Showdown, Misty points out that once Pikachu evolves with the use of the Thunder Stone, Pikachu won’t revert. In An Epic Defense Force, Luke’s Golett seemingly evolves to Golurk in a Movie then devolves back to Golett. This repairs the Golurk Statue since it turns out to be fictitious. Another instance of the non-existence of devolution is when Bonnie requested Ash’s Frogadier to devolve back to Froakie, Clemont said that it would be impossible.

Evolution
Evolution (Japanese: 進化 evolution) is a process in which a Pokémon changes into a different species of Pokémon.
With respect to real-world phenomena, Pokémon Evolution is more similar to metamorphosis than evolution. Evolution is mostly independent of the aging process, instead of being triggered by external factors, such as gaining experience in battle or being exposed to certain items.
Evolution is not a merely visual change, as Pokémon of a higher evolutionary stage has different (and usually increased) stats, can learn different moves, and sometimes change types (although normally at least one of the pre-evolved form’s types remains the same). Pokémon may also change Ability upon evolution.
Professor Elm and Professor Rowan are the leading experts in Pokémon Evolution. According to Elm’s research, over 90% of all Pokémon are connected to at least one other through Evolution. (Currently, the actual percentage is 81%.) Rowan’s research focuses on whether Evolution is a form of maturity in Pokémon, and looking at the implications of the process on Legendary Pokémon (which could not evolve in Generation IV, when Rowan debuted).
